Description:
Prof. Jalil Afshar (Figure 1) obtained his PharmD degree from University of Tabriz in 1965, then joined the Faculty of Pharmacy at University of Tabriz in 1968 as a lecturer. In 1970, Prof. Afshar passed a short course at the University of Bordeaux, France and then got a scholarship from the Iranian Government in 1975 to continue his postgraduate studies. He obtained his 1st MSc in phytopharmacy from the University of Lyon, France, the 2nd MSc in chemistry of natural products and his DSc degree from the University of Paris XI, France in 1983, and re-joined the Tabriz Faculty of Pharmacy in 1983.
