Description:
The combination of ginger, lemongrass and cloves (JaSeKeh) which contains bioactive substances
such as alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, phenolic acids, terpenoids and eugenol compounds has the
effect of lowering glucose levels in the blood. Objective: to analyze the effect of topical JaSeKeh
extract ointment on Diabetes Mellitus wound healing. The research design is a laboratory experiment
(Pre-Posttest Group Design). The research was carried out in 2 stages (In Vitro and In Vivo). In Vitro:
measuring the inhibitory power of the JaSeKeh extract group in inhibiting Staphylococcus Aureus.
In Vivo: observing the healing of diabetes Mellitus wounds in 20 white Rattus Norvegicus mice. The
results of this research are that there is a significant difference between the zone of inhibition of bacterial
growth using JaSeKeh extract concentrations of 50%, 75%, 95%, he positive control ciprofloklaxin 5%
on the growth of Staphylococcus Aureus bacteria (p0.000). In the In vivo test: there was a significant
difference between the JaSeKeKeh extract preparation with concentrations of 500 mg, 750 mg, 1000
mg and the positive control metcovazin on healing diabetes mellitus wounds in white rats rattus
norvegicus (p0.000). Conclusion: there is an effect of topical preparation of JaSeKeh extract ointment
on Diabetes Mellitus wound healing.
